I have a treat for you--a recipe for the blueberry cake I baked yesterday. 
1/4 cup shortening or cooking oil
I cup sugar
1 well beaten egg 
1 tsp. cinnamon 
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 cup flour 
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 
1/2 cup milk
1 cup blueberries 
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg.
Shift dry ingredients and add, alternating with milk.
Fold in berries. 
Put in pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes at 350.
It's one of my favorite summer recipes. I hope you like it.
